Design Challenge: Design Our Logo
Who Walks the Dog believes in social media. Strongly. Social media enables us to use our network and connections to build teams, find answers quickly, achieve what we can not do alone. In other words: work more efficiently. Therefore we have come up with a challenge. Who walks the Dog needs a logo. There is a basic one now, but it needs improvement, the eye of experts, the hand of a master. So, if you are a design student, amateur, professional, afficionado, and you want the honour of designing the logo of Who walks the Dog, this challenge is something for you.
The briefing is rather simple: there is a logo sketch. This is the basis of the logo. It has to combine classic style with modernity. It needs to express professionalism, social media, corporate social responsibility, global thinking (as opposed to local). A 'stylebook' is availble on flickr, to get a notion of the images that reflect the world as Who walks the Dog sees it.
The rules of the challenge are also simple:
- Anyone can participate;
- All content/imagery Who walks the Dogs considers inapproriate will be disqualified;
- winner will be decided based on following criteria:
- design students will get a head start of 10 points,
- students from the Baltic countries will get a head start of (an additional) 10 points,
- Who walks the Dog gives a maximum of 50 points based on what appeals most,
- 30 points can be earned in a final interent poll selection round;
- The winning design will be used as our company logo. The designer will be mentioned in all the official documentation of Who walks the Dog. The designer will be the design partner for 2 years of Who walks the Dog.
